Having a Good Time

December 16, 2007

Since my daughter’s husband is out of town, I’ve been staying at her house helping her with the kids. Evan is still a newborn and last night I’m glad I was here. Cayden was a mess and had a meltdown, which in turn caused Evan some stress. My poor daughter was exhausted. But seems like we all got a good night’s sleep.

Yesterday I got to enjoy some nice times with the kids and got a good deal of knitting done. I can’t post what I’m knitting because it’s something for my other daughter – but it’s pink. Hee hee.

Here’s the hat that I finished up for Cayden. It’s none too big, that’s for sure. I had to use two skeins of yarn and I kept adding rows to the pattern and thought it was going to be way too long. Hardly. He’ll only get to use it this winter. At least he has a little brother he can hand it down to.

And this is what I looked down at while knitting yesterday.

And yesterday I caught the last half of Cayden standing at the refrigerator singing and dancing his ABCs.

Life is pretty darn good – unemployed or not.

Oh, my gosh— how adorable!!! The hat, the baby, the video— all of it! I’m so glad you’re getting to enjoy all of this!

Thank you, MB. Me too. I am happy to be able to have time off – money will come from somewhere, it always does. I’m trying not to stress about it. I’m tired, but that’s the name of the game anymore. Maybe I’ll have a chance to catch up on my sleep and get rid of the bags under my eyes. LOL.
